of mice and men ending

1. Why did Lennie do what he did? IS he scared or evil? How can you tell?
Lennie was scared that George wansn't going to let him tend to the rabbits if Curley's wife kept yelling. Lennie isn't evil, he was scared that George was going to be mad. I can tell because Lennie keeps saying, "Be quiet or George ain't gunna let me tend to the rabbits.

2. What is Curley’s reaction? Does it surprise you?
Curley is really mad, he says that he is going to shoot Lennie. No it doesn't surprise me, Curley was always very jealous and protective of his wife.

3.What story does George tell Lennie?
George tells Lennie the story of them getting their own land.

4.On a superficial plot level, why did George do what he did?
George knew that if he didn't do it one of the other guys would, and George felt like he should be the one to do it.

5.Was George right to have done this? Is he justified?
I don't think it was right for George to do this. No he is not justified, but Curley would have done it anyway and George felt as though he should be the one to do it.

6.What do you think Steinbeck is saying when he ends his novel this way? What is he saying about people like Lennie or even about people in general?
??
